Avanguardia produces only blended wines from unusual and exotic varietals, predominantly Italian, which we have secured over the years and planted in our vineyard near Nevada City. Only estate grown fruit from our over twenty varieties is used for blending. Our all-Italian white, Selvatico, features the Northeastern Italian indigenous vine Tocai Friulano supported by our exclusive selections, Peverella and Forastera. Blends based on Sangiovese, Barbera, and the true French Gamay Noir are among the reds offered. We are on the cutting edge of the blending craft—Avanguardia means avant-garde in Italian. Tours and retail sales by appointment.

Burch Hall Winery & Coyoteville Winery is a friendly, foothill winery offering wines produced with the precision and quality of the best California has to offer. Bordeaux and Rhone style blends, as well as Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Zinfandel, Merlot, Syrah, Viogner and Pinot Grigio.
